Our own internal transformation proved this. We have adopted an integrated BMS system and logistical tracking system, easier and faster than we have for instance migrated CRM and Accounting to the cloud. This has raised the narrative of rather “Cloud adoption than migration”, that we today incorporate in our digital services strategy.

These devices can communicate the relevant data from each physical system back to a central server for monitoring and analysis. The results of that analysis can then be passed back to the physical system to allow more autonomous operation, enhance accuracy, benefit maintenance, and improve uptime.
Born from the idea to use Agent Server as an independent product with all the base functionality needed to set up and communicate to device drivers and to expose this data to various endpoints such as OPCUA, IOTHubs, EventHubs, and Cloud Services.
To facilitate the various endpoints/outputs necessary to make the product function on the whole, it was necessary to allow data to be extracted from the Agent Server in a controlled fashion. This is accomplished through Smart Data Services.
What are Smart Data Services?
Smart Data Services (SDS) framework, allows for the rapid deployment of fit-for-purpose micro-services. Each microservice has a defined data structure and an endpoint.
Smart Data Services communicates to the Agent Server (in much the same way that a client application would) by reading, writing, and subscribing to tags. Smart Data Services then sends these tag values to whatever endpoint is configured.
Use Case: Prescriptive Maintenance
OEM Machine has a connected smart device, the OEM requires this information to monitor the performance of the machine and prescribe optimisation. The client wants predictive maintenance to eliminate unplanned downtime, as well as performance KPI’s. The client uses SAP for their works orders and requires integrated services to generate and manage maintenance callouts with escalation.
